Atlanta Children’s museum-Making fresh veggie & fruits popsicle

it was a fun filled day at the Atlanta Children’s museum as we kicked of  the museum’s  ‘ Georgia eat a rainbow’ program http://www.childrensmuseumatlanta.org/about/eat_a_georgia_rainbow.

We made fresh organic popsicle with organic carrot, organic apple and organic beets for color, funny enough a parent was concern that the kids where not going to eat the popsicle since it didn’t have any sugar added to eat, at the end she was pleasantly surprise that the kids actually loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. A couple of the kids when they saw the raw vegetables were very skeptical as well but at the end they all couldn’t get enough of our yummy  healthy treat

The kids had a blast juicing the organic apples and carrot and were so trilled when we added a tiny slice of the organic beets and it completely changed the color of the juice from orange to a vibrant deep red.

It is that time of the year again when out door farmers markets sprouts all over the city, take your kids to a farmers market close by and get to know where your food is coming from, get the kids to pick some thing fresh from the market and have fun creating memories at home. The kids left with a new found understanding and love for fresh wholesome organic treat free of unwanted extras.
