Steam organic quinoa, blueberries & yogurt breakfast.

I eat and feed my family very purposefully especially our son who is now 7, I know that every bit he takes is a nutritional opportunity to nourish is ever developing body so I take full advantage of it, here is a typical breakfast in our home, we don’t do box cereal or any other foods that literally has been processed to death. This is a powerhouse house breakfast that is full of nutrients and it is wonderfully yummy. Our son had steamed organic quinoa topped with fresh organic blueberries, yogurt, organic almond milk and organic grade B maple syrup for breakfast. See recipe below.

  • 1 cup Quinoa ( steam a cup using directions from your package)
  • ¼ cup Blueberries (frozen blueberries)
  • ¼ Milk (we use almond milk made with organic almonds)
  • 1 teaspoon of organic butter
  • A scoop of organic yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of grade B maple syrup

Directions. Cook quinoa following directions on your package (you can always steam a batch of quinoa and use as needed). Scoop a cup of steamed quinoa in a bowl smaller portions to fit the need of your child, this here is for our 7 year old son, add your organic milk (our son likes his porridge very thick so we add very little milk, add your blueberries, butter, yogurt and drizzle your maple syrup at the end, you can use whatever fruits you like, I have made this meal with dried apricots, raisins, cranberries but this combination with blueberries is still an all time favorite in our home..

This will make an amazing complete meal for your baby as well, just mush it up in a blender to the right consistency and make sure you only add what they have been cleared to eat..
